Orvis Men’s Ultralight Waders
We call ’em lightweight, but they’re durable as heck. If you’re putting miles on the river, you’ll want these.
The perfect all-purpose fly fishing waders should check a lot of boxes, so we started by building our Men’s Ultralight Waders to be durable, thanks to a four-layer waterproof nylon shell that’s also breathable, so you won’t overheat in summer.
Add layers underneath, and you can fish comfortably all year long. They’ve also got to let you do what you have to do to get to prime water. The mechanical stretch moves with your body, down embankments, over fallen trees, and up the occasional rock face. And, of course, they’ve got to resist punctures and abrasions: check and check.
If you travel to fish, you’ll appreciate how lightweight these waders are, making them ideal for long hikes and remote fishing spots.

These waders are surprisingly light for their durability. I’ve used them on multiple river trips, and they hold up well even after a few hours of hiking and fishing. The stretch fits naturally and doesn’t restrict movement. Great for long days on the water.
Gordon Wilkins –
I appreciate the breathability during hot summer days. The waders stay dry and don’t cause overheating. The material feels tough and resistant to scratches from rocks and branches.
Maria Glover –
Fits well and moves with my body when walking on uneven ground. I’ve used them on several remote fishing trips and they’ve held up without any tears or punctures.
