Nimbus/Halo Midge Emerger

The also known as a Halo Midge, the Nimbus Midge has hooked quite a lot of large trout on the Miracle Mile in Wyoming. Specifically designed for those waters, it still works well in all tailwaters, freestone rivers, lakes & ponds.

The Nimbus Midge is technically a “Split Foam Back” pattern. Black foam for the wing casing, black body with silver tinsel and white tufted hair at the collar.

Size Range #16 – #20

3 reviews for Nimbus/Halo Midge Emerger – Fishing Lure for Trout

  1. Jane Terry –

Used this nymph in a cold spring run on a freestone river and caught a 10-inch brown trout. The white tuft and silver tinsel made it stand out in the current. Very natural movement and easy to cast.

  2. Dominic Parsons –

Felt like a solid choice for midge patterns in a lake setting. The split foam back gives it a good float and it stayed on the surface well. A bit heavy in #18, but still effective.

  3. Robert Paige –

Caught several large trout on the Miracle Mile using this pattern. The black body with silver tinsel and white hair mimics real midges well. Works great in both still and moving water.
