Barbless Olive X Caddis Emerging Caddis Adult Fly – 12 Flies Size 14
Premium barbless hooks.
One of the most effective dry flies in the West or anywhere that Caddisflies are prevalent. The X Caddis was created by Craig Matthews of Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone. This hair wing caddis pattern imitates the emerging adult Caddis as it struggles in the surface film while escaping its nymphal shuck. The X-Caddis rides lower in the water than other Caddis imitations, and is especially effective on slick water or spring creeks.

Gavin Lewis –
Used this fly on a spring creek and caught several trout. The presentation was natural and the barbless hook made it easy to retrieve. Works well in slick water conditions.
Eric Brown –
Good imitation of the emerging caddis. The fly stayed on the surface and triggered strikes. A bit more sensitive than other caddis patterns I’ve tried.
Emma Smith –
Perfect for early spring when caddis are active. The hair wing looks realistic and the barbless hook makes it easy to fish without tangles.
Benjamin Langdon –
Fished it on a calm lake and got consistent bites. The size 14 fits well in the current and doesn’t sink too fast.
Angela Marshall –
Highly recommended for caddis-heavy waters. The fly mimics the struggle of the adult emerging and triggers strong reactions.
