Chan’s Balanced Ruby-Eyed Leech (3-Pack)
A simple, yet effective leech pattern for lakes and rivers. Balanced flies ride even in the water, parallel with the water’s surface (and move like the real deal.) The heavy tungsten bead gets your fly deep without adding any necessary weight.

FAQ
What makes the Ruby-Eyed Leech pattern effective in still or moving water?
The balanced design allows the fly to ride parallel to the water surface, mimicking natural movement. The tungsten bead ensures depth without adding excess weight.
Is the tungsten bead visible when the fly is in the water?
The tungsten bead is small and positioned internally, so it is not visible from the surface when the fly is floating.
Can this pattern be used in both freshwater and saltwater environments?

This leech pattern works well in slow-moving rivers. It stays balanced and looks realistic. The tungsten bead keeps it deep without dragging. I’ve used it for several days and it holds up well in different water conditions.

Great for early morning fishing. The fly moves naturally and attracts fish. It’s easy to tie and the balance is spot-on. Only minor adjustment needed for deeper water.

Fished in a lake with mixed currents. The fly stayed level and didn’t sink or flip. The color matches natural leeches well. Highly recommend for beginners and experienced anglers alike.
