JBL Sansibar Grey Substrate
Perfect hold for plant roots: substrate with 0.2 – 0.6 mm grain size for freshwater and marine aquariums and terrariums.
Ideal for aquarium care: its fine granulation and density prevents mulm and other waste material from seeping in.
Ideal for fish, invertebrates and plants: no release of unwanted pollutants into the water. Fine granite sand is gentle on the sensitive barbels of the bottom-dwellers.
No light reflections – full colouring of plants and fish: easily scared animals feel more comfortable and show their full, natural colouring.
Not really suitable for undergravel heating cables.

Dominic Wilkins –
The substrate holds roots well and keeps the water clean. My plants are growing nicely and the fish seem more active and colorful. No mess from waste seeping through. Great for a planted tank.
Ian Robertson –
I’ve used it in a freshwater tank with shrimp and small fish. The barbels of the fish are not irritated, and the water stays clear. No light reflections make the fish look more natural.
Adam Randall –
Works well for plant roots and keeps the tank tidy. A bit coarse for very small invertebrates, but overall good for a balanced setup.
Chloe Hardacre –
The grey color blends well with the tank and doesn’t reflect light. My plants have grown steadily, and the fish are more vibrant than before.
