FAQ
What makes the Megadog-X different from other topwater walkers?
The Megadog-X features a patented Balancer System with two lateral balancers and a linear tail balancer, providing wider, more consistent dog-walking action and enhanced inertial energy for forward slides.
How does the retrieve affect the action of the bait?
A simple reel/stop retrieve allows the bait to slide smoothly, while more vigorous rod work triggers an explosive splash-walking chain reaction, attracting aggressive fish responses.
Is the Megadog-X suitable for all types of freshwater fish?
The Megadog-X is specifically designed to provoke reactive frenzies in trophy freshwater species, making it ideal for targeting aggressive, surface-feeding fish.
Sarah Young –
The Megadog-X performs exceptionally well in clear lakes. It slides smoothly on a slow retrieve and creates a strong splash when retrieved faster. The balance is excellent and the fish reaction is immediate and intense. A must-have for topwater fishing.
Thomas Oliver –
I’ve tried several topwater baits, but the Megadog-X stands out. The sliding action is natural and the splash response triggers strikes from large bass. The color options help match different water conditions.
Tim Hunter –
Used it during a morning cast in a shallow bay. The bait responded to a steady retrieve and then exploded into a splash when I added rod movement. Caught two large fish in under 30 minutes. Highly effective.
