Seachem Flourite Sand 7kg

Flourite® Sand is a specially fractured, stable, porous clay gravel designed for natural planted aquariums. Its appearance is ideal for planted environments, though it can be used in any freshwater aquarium setup. Flourite® Sand works best when used alone as the primary substrate, though it can be mixed with other gravels. No gravel modifiers like laterite are required. The sand is not chemically coated or treated and will not affect water pH.

Set-up: Although pre-washed, Flourite® Sand may become dusty during transit. Rinse thoroughly before use to remove any residual dust. When adding water to the aquarium, do so slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate.

3 reviews for Seachem Flourite Sand 7kg – Ideal Plant Substrate for Freshwater Aquariums

  1. Jane Rampling –

Used Flourite Sand in a 120-liter planted tank. The sand holds nutrients well and roots grow easily. No pH changes observed. Rinsed before adding to tank. Very stable and looks natural in the water.

  2. Edward Robertson –

Good for planted tanks. The texture is fine and allows for root development. A little dust during setup, but rinsing solved that. Works well with live plants and fish.

  3. Kevin Hill –

No need for additives like laterite. The sand stays stable and doesn’t shift over time. Plants have grown well in the last three months. Easy to maintain.
