Seachem Renew
Seachem Renew is ideal for use in systems where phosphate released from all activated carbons poses a problem.
Renew is also less aggressive than carbon, making it well suited for reefs and planted aquaria. It is also beneficial for use in soft water aquaria where the pH-raising property of many carbons is not an asset.
Renew will remove organics and particulates in the sub-micron range; it will also help control ammonia, nitrates, and phosphates.
Directions
Renew should be used in exactly the same manner as activated carbon. Use 250ml for each 120-160 L (30-40 gallons*). Use in a filter bag only. Although Renew is clean, it is advisable to rinse before use. It lasts about the same as carbon (4-6 weeks).

I’ve used Renew in my reef tank for three months now. The water clarity has improved significantly, and I’ve noticed less phosphate buildup. It’s gentle on my corals and doesn’t raise the pH like regular carbon does. Easy to install and works well with my existing filter setup.

Great product for planted tanks. It helped reduce nitrates and kept the water clean without affecting the pH. I rinsed it before use as recommended and it performed smoothly over a two-month period.

Switched from regular carbon to Renew after reading about phosphate issues. My water parameters have stabilized, especially phosphates. The tank looks clearer and my plants are thriving. No pH spikes, which was a big relief.
